Jelena Black is a Certified Public Accountant
and a
Certified Valuation Analyst. As a founding partner of
JS Black &
Associates, Jelena is responsible for the
tax
and financial
service areas of the practice.
These services include tax planning
and preparation, accounting, auditing, financial consulting for
business owners and managers, business valuations, and IRS tax debt resolution.
15 YEARS IN
THE ACCOUNTING INDUSTRY
Jelena started her career in 1993 and has spent time
in the tax
department of Ernst & Young LLP in Newport Beach, California and the
tax accounting department of Duane Morris LLP in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania.
In 2004, Jelena formed JS Black & Associates using
her experience and contacts to grow a practice that concentrates in
highly personalized tax, accounting, and financial services for
businesses and individuals. Her diverse background affords her the
unique opportunity of utilizing the angles of both tax and
financial strategies when working with clients.
ACTIVE WITH PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS
Jelena is routinely involved in speaking engagements for various
organizations and has been featured in the Journal of Accountancy.
Jelena holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Communications degree
with an emphasis in Accounting from California State University at
Long Beach and is a member of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants, National Association of Certified Valuation
Analysts, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Orange
County Bar Association.
ADDITIONAL CREDENTIALS
In order to more completely service her clients and remain on top of
the changing dynamics of the profession, Jelena holds financial
services licenses including the FINRA series 7 and 63 securities
licenses and the state of California insurance license.
